Manuel António is a young healthcare professional from Luanda, Angola, with a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences from Agostinho Neto University. Passionate about improving access to healthcare in his home country, Manuel has worked in clinical settings where he supported patient care and diagnostic services. His commitment to learning and his motivation to expand his expertise in physiotherapy have led him to join the Kamakuya project. As one of the first local professionals in the program, Manuel is dedicated to building the skills needed to bring advanced rehabilitation services to Angolan communities.
Experience:
During his studies and early career, Manuel gained experience in both hospital and outpatient environments, where he worked alongside doctors and nurses to provide essential diagnostic and patient support services. He has developed strong foundations in patient care, medical ethics, and teamwork within multidisciplinary healthcare settings. By joining Kamakuya, Manuel will take part in a structured training program led by physiotherapist Celeste Graça. This will enable him to become one of the first locally trained specialists in the project, ensuring that knowledge and skills remain rooted in Angola and can be passed on to future professionals.
